RIMC is the top military school. In Dehradun. Takes about 250 kids per year. From whole India.

Toughest to crack. But Bihar kids get in every year.

Entry: Only Class 8. Exam: Twice a year. What they test: Essays. Hard math. GK. Serious interview.

A Story From Last Month

A man from Pipra block called me. His son is in Class 5. Time is short for Class 6 entry. He is lychee farmer with small orchard. About 30 trees. His own land. Not much. But own.

Last season was disaster. Unseasonal rain during flowering. Fruit set was poor. Production dropped by 60%. What was usually 80 quintals became 30 quintals.
